This mural design was designed for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and was installed in their Kitchener, Ontario training facility in early 2022. Positioned in the bottom right corner of the mural is the phrase “We Can, We Will” in strong block letters to excite and inspire new team members as they approach the elevator. Above this phrase is a forest consisting of beautiful Japanese pine trees and Canadian Maple trees with both Mount Fuji and Niagara Falls visible in the background. The transition from left to right symbolizes Toyota’s growth and progress not only in Japan but also here in Canada. There are 10 tree clusters that abstractly represent the 10 core values of Toyota. Tucked in the trees are 7 icons representing the 7 functional areas of TMMC: Press, weld, materials, assembly, paint, plastics and quality control. This natural, euphoric scene is meant to enhance the workplace and inspire warmth, peacefulness and curiosity for the employees as they go about their day.
